[dguido]: This looks like a trap. We have a working RCE that would claim this, but I don't want to demonstrate that because it might leak what we built to others. We still have a window for people to patch and I don't want to risk that. https://x.com/dguido/status/2113825891021144306?s=46
[nikolay]: This is a form of a canary token I've been using already. The thing is that it only makes sense if the server breach is cheaper than the money into the wallet. Of course, after you fully monetize your hack, the last step would be to get the bitcoins, too, but how is this helping the owner? The good thing about the existing canary token is that they are all over the place hidden among legitimate similar records and could be harder for the hackers to tell from the rest. I personally prefer...
[technion]: There is a lot of cynicism in this thread but the fact this is still open and hour later ends the narrative in my view. There are not "thousands of swarms of agents autonomously compromising every site for its authors" or any the other x / LinkedIn dribble ive been reading. It clearly isnt happening.
[nayuki]: The server is getting overloaded, so here's the text for reference: Steal my Bitcoin

There is a bitcoin key hidden on this server worth about $502.
It is accessible to the PHP user account through the print-flag binary.

The risked opportunity cost of this being a honeypot (and handing over a functional exploit) vs just… not participating and hacking higher value targets (offensive actors) or not circulating any additional details (defensive actors who have privileged intelligence about the vulns) I just… The value proposition here is so hilariously low for what is required to demonstrate stealing the bi...

[secabeen]: The tech sector is the most software-defined and virtual of all sectors, it's natural that they are first to change. Other industries need to make capital investments to adapt to change. You can see a similar history with electrification. A few industries went quickly, but then it took like a decade of little growth before the true benefits showed up. As an example, take a factory that was built around hyrdo-power like a grain mill. You can't just take an electric motor and drop ...
[fwlr]: Well, of course not. If you borrow a trillion dollars to build a 1¢ aspirin machine to compete with $1 generic aspirin, you are strongly incentivized to sell your aspirin for 99¢. We don’t see productivity gains, because approximately all of the gain is captured as revenue for AI companies. It’s weird that this has to be spelled out for so many engineers and economists, but to be very clear: OpenAI et al wants your token spend to go to one-minus-epsilon of what you previously spent on payro...
[ttul]: I don't see why a payoff would have appeared yet. Many (but certainly not all) software companies have increased their output without hiring more people. But having software with more features doesn't necessarily drive immediate productivity gains in the rest of the economy. It will take time for those benefits to percolate. We've only had access to models good enough to majorly accelerate code writing since early-2026. I feel like we're in the very beginnings of the first...
[jstanley]: "You can see the computer age everywhere but in the productivity statistics." -- 1987
[poody]: One industry example.. We have been giving students computing devices for years with the cost of educating students going up year after year.. Yet scores keep dropping.. No productivity gains here.. I do not think these results are unique to the education sector.. There are probably alot of businesses where nothing much will change except slight efficiencies.. not enough to move the needle..

[Aardappel]: Btw I made the language, AMA.
repo: https://github.com/aardappel/goose
[malisper]: I'm curious, for someone more familiar with Goose: how do you represent an arbitrary number of dynamically sized values? If you have a fixed number of stacks, it seems like only a fixed number of values can change size at any given time. For instance, how would you represent a hash table where the values are strings and at random, the program inserts or deletes a random string? This doesn't seem like something you could easily represent. The only way I can think of is to keep a stac...
[pradn]: Goose is pretty cool. The idea is that you don’t need to make representable all programs: a language for a restricted purpose is ok. As long as you can statically specify the number of growable memory regions, you can use Goose. However, since there’s no garbage collection, you’ll probably need to be careful about memory use while a program is running. Ie: the stacks can get too big if you keep growing them, even as old data is not used any more. Still, for a large number of programs - like d...
[bobbydigitales]: "That looks really neat! The automatic analysis and use of multiple data stacks and resizable fields takes it from "lots of work can be done this way" to "basically everything can be". The relative references and built in binary structure validation also enable direct memory mapping of data structures and immediate use of network data. "Parsing" file and network data is often 100x slower than it needs to be." - John Carmack
[ebiederm]: I seem to remember the ML guys went down this route. I believe they called it regions. From what little I read in the literature I seem to recall that there were enough programs with quite a bit more memory usage that they decided this approach was a dead end. Does anyone know anymore details?

However I also can’t mentally bridge this over to the actual automation, manufacturing, and warehouse work I’ve been involved with throughout my career. Everything about this page strikes me as having been optimized for investors, not customers...
[ethanj8011]: Obviously AI written text. At least there is real content here, however I do find the order and the way in which it was written and portrayed to have a heavy AI smell. That is, it's hard to read and follow the clean narrative, it isn't written the way a human who was trying to convince another human would write, and is less effective because of it.
[besterman23]: This post feels really weird, DreamLabs isn’t some well known project like Anthropic or OpenAI and Dream-1 wasn’t really an awaited release. But somehow this was pushed to the front page of HN before receiving a single comment with a title reminiscent of a major LLM release. Like I can only find 1 other reference historically to this lab and nobody noticed it or cared.
[prometheus1992]: I don't like the direction this is going in - so a third party is going to be able to control a robot in my house? we shouldn't aim for economies of scale on this problem as there are massive negative externalities attached to it. Hopefully, a chinese lab will release an open source version soon.

[dividefuel]: As a technical writer, I believe default AI responses are optimized for what people _think_ is good writing rather than what actually is good writing. My guess is years of RLHF optimized for rater's first impressions of how well-written something was. It uses lists! It has headings! It uses fun phrases like 'smoking gun'! It's long and informative! These things are relatively fast and easy to identify and select as a preference. But none of this really covers whether the r...
[cryzinger]: One construction I'm surprised the paper doesn't mention (although, to be fair, I'm sure they had plenty of options to choose from... and you have to draw the line somewhere :P) is that LLMs love to use transitive verbs intransitively[0], in a way I almost never see in human writing. At best it makes sentences weirdly ambiguous, at worst it makes them borderline incomprehensible, and it's especially annoying in technical contexts where precise language should be non-negoti...
[lukev]: LLMs are showing us that a lot of what we think of as cognition is actually part of the elaborate symbol system which is Language, as opposed to a property of "mind" (either biologically or artificially instantiated.) LLM-generated text is hard to understand because while it's perfectly good language that follows valid cognitive and informational patterns, it does not reflect the intent or mental model of another mind .
[anigbrowl]: Consider too that AI training corpuses include vast amounts of commercial speech which is designed to numb the critical faculties and produce action; likewise they include numerous opinion articles, which are designed to persuade and often leverage rhetorical fallacies, whether cynically or as a reflection of an author's imperfect thought process.
[noosphr]: AI generated text has no human centered underlying model of physical reality and its metaphors are tortured as a result. If we had talking centipedes the results would probably be similar, but for different reasons.

[Zagitta]: Hey this is my work, although the exploits etc aren't my ideas by any means.
This is just a way to wrap the whole thing up in a much less annoying package than having to patch the nvidia driver. I originally got inspired by the CMP90/50 windows unlocks that run as standalone UEFI modules that chainloads into the OS. Happy to answer questions!
[RachelF]: A semi related: a patch for those with multiple cards. You can unlock around 20% increased card to card speed on consumer GPUs using this library: https://github.com/aikitoria/open-gpu-kernel-modules The hardware supports it, but then Nvidia disabled it if the driver detects cheaper cards. This bypasses the NVidia slowdown.
[jacquesm]: This one is real, but there are some caveats: - you will need to run your card hotter than you might be comfortable with - the real pay-off (on some cards, apparently, see downthread) requires increasing the maximum power to 450W - This is well above what the stock cooler was designed for so a bit more cooling would help What's nice is that you can stack this mod on top of (or rather, below of, this one loads first) the p2p mod that has been out for a while, they don't seem to inter...

[RandyOrion]: As a person who uses consumer level hardware to do neural network research, this unlock is truly INVALUABLE. This unlock is super useful as it improves the GPU performance on computation-bounded neural network workloads like LLM prefilling, image/video generation, and general neural network training, in a way of disabling deliberate software segmentation on the same hardware imposed by Nvidia. I'm on rtx 50 series, and no free performance uplifting for now. Waiting for more reverse ...

[netsharc]: Well, whoever picked the name HTTP2Shell certainly didn't use any intelligence, artificial or genuine. It's so meaningless, broad and undescriptive of the actual issue. No it probably doesn't affect an HTTP server with nothing else behind it, so why is HTTP being blasted? You might as well call it Exploit Pro Max...
[pimterry]: Much prefer the Broccoli2Shell name & site (for the same vuln): https://broccoli2shell.com/ . For starters, I'm pretty sure you can hit this without HTTP if you do any manual Brotli decoding, HTTP just happens to be the most common case that comes up.
[Rapzid]: > reported it as unauthenticated remote code execution that works in both directions > but it wasn't recognized as a security issue at the time and no release shipped with the fix until now I'm always getting my dangerous RCE bugs mixed up with my harmless RCE bugs. I'm curious how this was reported and fixed back in Feb but nobody recognized the importance. A case of AI automation and nobody at the wheel?
[bawolff]: To me, the surprising part is how many of these implement brotli compression of request (not just response) bodies, given how obscure a feature that is. In any case all this sensationalism is starting to get annoying. Patch your stuff and move on. Edit: actually, between all the sensationalism, its hard to tell from the article how many of these actually support brotli compressed request bodies in common configs vs some other use of brotli (which is bad but nowhere near as critical)
[nairboon]: Brotli2Shell seems to be a more appropriate name for this.

Add a new map for a four player battle - four way rotational symmetry, up to four AI players, works with the WebSocket non-audio based multiplayer mode so up to four human players can join (any spare slots use AI)
Claude Opus 5.5 added a new map called "Compass Rose" and modified the WebSockets multiplayer network code to support up to four players for that map, joining via share links or QR codes.
The new teams use robots themed in purple and green, joining the existing blue and red designs. You can preview those colors in

## What's changed
- Added the Monitor tool and plugin monitors on Bedrock, Vertex, and Foundry, and when telemetry or nonessential traffic is disabled; long foreground sleeps are now blocked there too
- Fixed requests failing behind some gateways and compatible servers that reject the `effort-2025-11-24` beta value or mid-conversation system messages; Claude Code now retries without them
- Fixed background cleanup deleting some recent files, such as pasted images, when `cleanupPeriodDays` is set to a very large value
- Fixed compaction after a "Prompt is too long" error keeping too much of a conversation with dense text, such as base64 or SVG, so the next request could fail again
- Fixed file read permission prompts not showing where a symbolic link leads
- Fixed a question's auto-continue timeout firing the moment the external editor closed after a long edit
- Windows: Fixed PreToolUse and PermissionRequest hooks letting a tool call through when Git Bash is missing and the hook's command is only quoted strings, such as a quoted path
- Improved auto mode's prompt before the first read outside the working directories: it now says when blocking those reads makes shell commands ask for permission
- Improved memory use of non-interactive sessions (`-p`, Agent SDK) during compaction when the transcript file is very large
- Improved a mod's `Image` to draw inside tmux with `allow-passthrough` and `focus-events` on, in kitty, Ghostty, and iTerm2 3.5+ with fullscreen rendering, where it showed only its `alt` text
- Linux: Improved `/sandbox` and the sandbox startup warning to name Ubuntu's AppArmor restriction on user namespaces, and how to lift it, when it keeps bubblewrap from starting the sandbox
- Changed the error for an MCP tool call that times out in a non-interactive session while the server's elicitation is unanswered: it now tells Claude that no answer came and not to repeat the call
- [VSCode] Fixed pressing Enter on the plan review card's "Send feedback and keep planning" button approving the plan instead of sending your comments back
- [VSCode] Fixed the panel showing "Something went wrong" after "Switch branch & continue" on a cloud session opened from Session history's Web tab
- [Cloud sessions] Added Claude Code cloud sessions and Remote Control permissions to Enterprise custom roles, so Owners can control access to each by role
- [Cloud sessions] Added a Choose file button to load a cloud environment's setup script from a file
- [Cloud sessions] Fixed failed saves and archives in the cloud environment edit dialog showing no error inside the dialog
- [Cloud sessions] Fixed failed routine API token actions showing only a toast; the error now appears in the routine edit dialog
- [Cloud sessions] Improved the session start checklist to show a cloud environment's setup script output in a scrolling box
- [Cloud sessions] Changed turning on Cloud sessions or Remote Control in admin settings to ask for confirmation and list the custom roles that have that permission
- [Cloud sessions] Changed the cloud environment dialog to open network access, setup script and environment variables from rows instead of listing every editor at once
- [Claude Tag] Fixed Claude Tag treating `!` commands such as `!restart` and `!help` as ordinary messages when sent in bold, italic or strikethrough
- [Claude Tag] Fixed Claude Tag admin channel and workspace pages being replaced by a load error when a background refresh of the bundle list fails
- [Claude Tag] Fixed Claude Tag's spend limits page in admin settings reporting that no channels match a filter while channel names are still loading
- [Code Review] Fixed the Code Review admin section hiding its repositories and switches after a failed refresh of the repository list
- [Code Review] Improved the Code Review admin section to retry the first load and show one Try again banner when it still fails
